Prayer is still power

This week was very very VERY SLOW. But with a lot of good times mixed in there. We had a lot of appointments with the members so on the bright side we didn't have to make a lot of food! That was super nice but I'm pretty sure I'm getting fat. It's ok, my companion works out pretty hard in the mornings though so I'm pretty sure if I eat a lot and get to be about half as buff as he currently is, I would be in the best shape of my life.

The end is so near it's so sad... my life has changed so much. Somebody told me girls wear a lot of choker necklaces in the United States 🇺🇸 now. Is it true? I just hope heely's are back in too!

We had another super spiritual experience with the same family as last week. We taught them the restauración, the Book of Mormon, and how they can all know for themselves asking God if these things are true. They were so engaged and the member we brought really had a lot of great things to say. They said they would be baptized on April 15 if they got an answer and we know the Lord will do his part to help them make that goal if they do theirs. The coolest part was the end. Another invitation to pray bites the dust let's just say. We asked the 15 year old this time and explained how to do it. He began to pray. He gave thanks for a lot. He stopped.... I can't do it. In my mind I thought oh no, he's not really feeling it. OH ELDER BARON OF LITTLE FAITH! We told him it's ok and to just keep going. He continued... he offered another super sincere prayer and with his voice quivering, thanked the Lord for all He has done for him and his family. He finished and the whole family was in tears. We were all feeling the spirit of the Lord so strong in that moment. I know that the Lord reached down and was a huge part of that lesson.

I think before the mission my experiences with the spirit were a lot more subtle, but here on the mission I have felt things that I have never felt before in my life. I do not doubt whatsoever the existence of God and although I have questions at times, I do not doubt that this is the path God wants for me and all of us to take in our lives. I know that through Joseph Smith, God has restored the truth here on the earth and that the Book of Mormon AND the Bible together contain the fullness of the gospel! In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen
