Transfers came.... they shipped Elder Barnes up to the North to speak Gallego and eat sea food all day... what a shame..... ANYWAYS, they sent me a new companion named Elder Walster who is from Utah, super good at Basketball, super creative, and just a good guy all around.
This week was a good one. We got a hold of some more people and looks like we might have a good week of lessons set up! Woot woot!
The highlights of my week were by far teaching our English class how to do head, shoulders, knees, and toes and playing Simon says (which turned into Elder Barnes and I showing them our mad dance skills) and having a legit soccer tournament on Saturday with some less active and active members in the ward!
I gave a talk this week in sacrament meeting too about overcoming fears as we do missionary work. I had a cool thought I want to share. David received power from God to slay a giant. Missionary work is super hard because of the giant obstacles we have today in our way. If we have the confidence and the trust that David had in God though, we too can slay the giant obstacles in our way. God gives power to those who fight his battles with faith, and likewise gives us power as we have the faith to continue in the battle of sharing the gospel with our friends!
SO KEEP SLAYING THOSE GIANT OBSTACLES AND TRUST IN GOD AS YOU STRIVE TO SHARE THE GOSPEL!
