AZUQUECA'S GOT TALENT

This week will be a shorter report....

WE worked hard this week. We had some exchanges with the zone leaders and I got to work with one of my really good friends Elder Gonzalez who is from Cadiz Spain. He was my zone leader earlier in my mission too when I was a district leader back in Parla, so we've had some rad times together. I also did another exchange with some elders in my district.

One of the coolest parts of my mission has by far been participating in baptismal interviews. It's an experience where I get to listen to people tell me why they want to follow Christ in their lives and how doing so has changed their lives. I had a really amazing interview with a 16 year old Dominican kid this week and it was really amazing to listen to him talk about how he knows that following Gods path for him and sacrificing to do so will lead him to happiness. I really felt the spirit confirm to me during that interview that this path we are striving to live in the gospel of Jesus Christ is the correct one.

Another highlight of the week was participating in the ward talent show. We did the getting ready in the morning thing again where one person uses their hands to brush the other persons teeth, feed them, brush their hair etc, from behind being covered with a trash bag so it looks like the person is actually doing it with their own hands but in a very sloppy way. It went super good! The most fun thing we did though was my companion and I did a musical number to a song about a missionary who gets dear Johned, written off, or whatever you want to call it. My companion played the piano and I sang this song these missionaries in our mission sang a long time ago and it was really funny. I'll attatch the video but it's in Spanish so here are the lyrics in English:

I see my plan depart
AND your sad look
Two years isn't a century, I
Will return
I won't be able to live
Two years without your love
MY letter says wait for me
THE time will pass
Two years isn't a century, I
Will return
I just ask you
Don't get married please
Wait my life
Don't get married yet
Please
I will return
I will not get fat

Your letter arrived to me on Monday
Finally I will hear from you
But something strange happened
I am going to read it
Your letter started
Goodbye dear John

YOU know John, since I saw your departure you left an emptiness in my heart that no one not anyone could ever refill. No one until Pedro, your best friend, arrived. Together we started a passionate romance and I have come to learn through all this something. That The Lord puts people in the exact and precise moment into our lives. And you my dear john, you are not for me, Pedro is for me, I am getting married on Friday. One last thing. You and I was never a real thing.

Kisses
Carla

Why didn't you wait for me
With that ugly guy you got married
What a pain
I will return
PEDRO, ¿WHY?

THAT one went over pretty well and the ward loved it. I love Spanish culture sometimes!

We are hoping to have a good week of knocking doors and talking in the streets! Transfers is this weekend but I think I might finish here, I'm not expecting any kind of exciting news!

HAVE a good one!
