The one time we don't play soccer .....

Where to begin...

Well, to those of you who haven't heard, I had an accident playing volleyball last p day and for that reason didn't write home. We were playing volleyball in the gym and I jumped, landed, and dislocated my knee cap. It wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been, but still has some pretty big consequences. Soccer Saturday's are over for the next couple months, and walking without crutches is pretty out of the picture too for the next couple of weeks too. I was pretty devastated when all this happened. The majority of our work here from finding people, to teaching English, to strengthening our relationship with the members has been based off of physical activity, and now it's back to the drawing boards. Thanks so much to all the people who have been praying for me and thinking about me though. I have really felt your love and received a lot of hope from seen and unseen forces this past week!  I don't know how long I will stay in this areal how much I will be able to do which really breaks my heart, but I know that the Lord has heard mine and your prayers, and that he will be involved in every step.

Healing is going good but it's a real test of patience that's for sure. The pain is very bearable, but it's just frustrating to not be fully capable. Im really really grateful for the care I have received though like I said and I have a TON to be grateful for! My companion has been a huge help for me taking the role of mom (or dad depending on your situation) and doing all those things in the piso like cleaning and cooking and daily injections to prevent blood clots (video coming soon).

We've also had some really amazing experiences these past couple weeks too!

One of the which was the baptism of our investigator Rosa and her daughter Astrid! The baptismal service ran smoothly and was a pivotal moment in their lives. From the testimonies they shared directly after their baptism to the change we have seen in them meeting with them afterwards, they have started the path that leads to an eternal family and a spot on the right hand of God. We are so so so happy for them and proud of them. They even had family from Barcelona and from Azuqueca who could come to the baptism and see and feel the joy of it all!  We look forward to helping them go to the temple very soon to perform these same ordinances for their ancestors! They are a great family and Rosa and Astrid will do wonders in helping the younger son some day reach this point too!

Before dislocating my knee I got to go to the temple again this week too! What an amazing experience! It truly is the house of the Lord and in my opinion the best place to go to receive revelation and feel how much our father in heaven loves us! I felt that big time before the accident and that helped me a ton to know that He may be far, but always just a prayer away!

At the moment that's really all that comes to mind for an update. Hope things are going well back home in the states or wherever you may be! May the Lord bless all of you with his infinite love. Those who seek it will always find it!
