The one time we don't play soccer .....

Where to begin...

Well, to those of you who haven't heard, I had an accident playing volleyball last p day and for that reason didn't write home. We were playing volleyball in the gym and I jumped, landed, and dislocated my knee cap. It wasn't nearly as bad as it could have been, but still has some pretty big consequences. Soccer Saturday's are over for the next couple months, and walking without crutches is pretty out of the picture too for the next couple of weeks too. I was pretty devastated when all this happened. The majority of our work here from finding people, to teaching English, to strengthening our relationship with the members has been based off of physical activity, and now it's back to the drawing boards. Thanks so much to all the people who have been praying for me and thinking about me though. I have really felt your love and received a lot of hope from seen and unseen forces this past week!  I don't know how long I will stay in this areal how much I will be able to do which really breaks my heart, but I know that the Lord has heard mine and your prayers, and that he will be involved in every step.

Healing is going good but it's a real test of patience that's for sure. The pain is very bearable, but it's just frustrating to not be fully capable. Im really really grateful for the care I have received though like I said and I have a TON to be grateful for! My companion has been a huge help for me taking the role of mom (or dad depending on your situation) and doing all those things in the piso like cleaning and cooking and daily injections to prevent blood clots (video coming soon).

We've also had some really amazing experiences these past couple weeks too!

One of the which was the baptism of our investigator Rosa and her daughter Astrid! The baptismal service ran smoothly and was a pivotal moment in their lives. From the testimonies they shared directly after their baptism to the change we have seen in them meeting with them afterwards, they have started the path that leads to an eternal family and a spot on the right hand of God. We are so so so happy for them and proud of them. They even had family from Barcelona and from Azuqueca who could come to the baptism and see and feel the joy of it all!  We look forward to helping them go to the temple very soon to perform these same ordinances for their ancestors! They are a great family and Rosa and Astrid will do wonders in helping the younger son some day reach this point too!

Before dislocating my knee I got to go to the temple again this week too! What an amazing experience! It truly is the house of the Lord and in my opinion the best place to go to receive revelation and feel how much our father in heaven loves us! I felt that big time before the accident and that helped me a ton to know that He may be far, but always just a prayer away!

At the moment that's really all that comes to mind for an update. Hope things are going well back home in the states or wherever you may be! May the Lord bless all of you with his infinite love. Those who seek it will always find it!

I'm not really sure what's going on at this point

Things are honestly so up and down at this point that I'm not too sure what to say about this week!

Ive had a ton of opportunities to play soccer! That's been pretty awesome for sure! Please email me if you would like to be on my indoor soccer team when I get home. We are going to make that happen for sure!

Some of the really awesome things that happened this week was:

Two of our investigators passed their baptismal interview this week and should be baptized this Saturday! We are super super pumped about that! The only bummer is that the teenage boy said he needs to wait a little bit more.... I know he'll get his answer soon as we meet and as he sees his mom and sister get baptized. Also, we helped an investigator prepare for the interview and taught him everything and he was supposed to get baptized too. He is super super super awesome and accepted everything very well! The sad part is that he disappeared yesterday and he was supposed to come to church and have his interview! I really hope he comes back.....

In other news, we had a n amazing zone conference this week in the which we were counseled to stop treated people like statistics and to have more conversations with people versus just trying to get there number and skipping the get to know you process! That's really helped us to enjoy the work more!

we are enjoying ourselves lots here and making as many memories as we can! Elder Walster is an awesome companion. That's it folks until the next week!

Last General Conference in Spain sure was incredible

Bueno,

This week has been super fun and interesting! My companion and I have been blessed with the opportunity to do a ton of different things! Some of the things that stood out were cleaning the dishes and kitchen for a member who about broke her back at the gym (those Pilates man will get you!), getting permission and playing soccer with the local kids in the neighborhood who are crazy good a couple days, having a soccer tournament here in Azuqueca with our zone, teaching lessons, Eating some really good meals with the members, and last but definitely not least, watching conference with investigators at the members houses!

I feel like the revelation and inspiration I received from general conference this year was rather direct and exactly what I needed to hear to keep moving forward as a missionary. I absolutely loved the prophets words to us about the importance of reading in the Book of Mormon every day!

One of our investigators has been waiting for an answer for a month now about whether or not she should get baptized. She watched general conference at work and in a meeting we had with her on Sunday night she told us that she felt like those speakers spoke directly to her, and she too received an answer that she needs to be baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was one of those moments where you realize how powerful this work actually is, and that the Lord truly is behind ALL of it! I was so extremely grateful that she opened her heart and received that answer from the Lord. You can definitely put your money on the inspired words from general conference that is for sure.

We have also seen incredible progress from an investigator who we have looked for and found the church on his own. The Lord answers prayers. This man came to church for the first time in years last Sunday, and prayed for the first time in years. He has been without work for a very long time. He prayed to the Lord for help to find a job. We met with him a few days later and with enthusiasm and excitement he told me that the Lord blessed him to find a job in less than a week after prayer! Years of search came to an end after a humble prayer! This man taught me a very important lesson! The Lord hears all of our prayers, and has many blessings in store for us! Sometimes we just need to get on our knees and ask!

Azuqueca is doing pretty well right now. There are great people here who are opening their ears and hearts to this message, and it's changing their lives! The Lord is answering their specific prayers and we are just trying our best to do our part and not get in the way in some of this progress!

I'm so grateful for the opportunity I have to serve here in this area! I'm so grateful for the companion I have, for the district I have, for the friends I have met and taught, and for all the ways that my mission has blessed my life!

Have the week you have and remember that 9 out of 10 times you can follow the spirit by following your gut! I love that!
